DRIV-LOK EngiNomics® provided an automotive customer with value engineering to align current DRIV-LOK parts with new assembly designs or configurations. This leading automotive assembly manufacturer required a dual-purpose fastener to replace the more expensive alignment part it had been using. Our team developed the Closed Seam Hollow Dowel, which allows the customer to align multiple pieces with easy insertion, improve throughput and maintain a leak-free joint. Production of the dowels involves minimal scrap, creating a less costly and more efficient product.
